Better fuel efficiency and less pollution are the reasons that most people think of. Here is a link to a Toyota site where people log on with their reason(s).

well the prius is pretty cool despite its fuglyness , gas useing wise but it still spews out the co2 just as much as a smaller crapy car would , just the prius has a rep .........alot of other older small cars that are 40-50mpg fuel efficent don't but hell i guess they help some because you can cash in on a state credit of up to 3 grand for haveing one, just for enviormental reasons..... ( further discution on yahoo messenger......)

Toyota Prius is an excellent car it gives about 60 city and 51 hwy MPG. Pretty fast for a hybrid but the battery can be very expensive to replace, $3000-5000. You'll have to replace them every 5-7 years depending upon how much you drive. Overall this is a very good car to keep.
