What's the best hybrid car on the market?

I know almost every car company has a hybrid car out, but which one is considered the "best" in gas mileage, comfort, etc. etc. Even Saturn has hybrid SUV's now, are those really helping the environment even when they're so big?

Toyota tends to have the most experience with hybrids, the Prius is the most advanced hybrid, they were one of the first to market and every year they are refining the technology. Everyone else either is playing catch up or licenses the core technology from ToyotaBe weary of mileage claims from Hybrids most only get 5-15 mpg more than their standard gasoline models, often not worth the extra money, this is universally true for the hybrid camry, accord and many suv models.As a rule of thumb the smaller the car (hybrid) the better the gas mileage, Also if you like Volkswagen they are introducing a line of diesel/hybrids which they claim will offer 80+MPG.. Diesel is 50% more efficient than gasoline combine that with hybrid technology and you have a real winner.happy shopping

Toyota Prius is the best. It uses the most advanced technology and its gas mileage is better than others (when comparing equals).

The best hybrid on the market today is the Ford escape. Its all wheel drive and it gets as good as and better gas mileage then many of the cars like the toyota. The Ford is also a lot less expensive to fix when it breaks
