Why do electric/hybrid cars always look so ugly? Design a car with a porsche body, but w/ a energy saving eng.

I like Scott Adams' answer in the DNRC newsletter (first link below).I also like the sexified Toyota Volta. It's a straight up supercar (and coincedentally a hybrid) that will probably never see the light of day (second link).

Because they put all the research money into the engine and let a 2 year old design the car.
