It's based on the 06 Benz S-Class, it uses a Selective Catalytic Reduction system which neutralizes gases and reduces nitrogen oxide.

It deactivates the internal combustion engine when it's not needed to conserve energy. Also expect quite a high price tag, as with all Benz. However, in the long run it's worth it as your helping the environment and get to drive a high class vehicle.

It's good to see Mercedes Benz shifting toward hybrids. It seems that by 2008 there will be probably be a hybrid out for every company.
