You should check the health/voltage of your 12v accessory battery, and replace if necessary. Like any other car, if you have an older 12v accessory battery or one that has been allowed to be drained/depleted, it may not be providing enough juice to start your vehicle and the early signs are dim interior lights when the car is not on, all the way to inability to start the car without a jumpstart/boost.Good luck!

whatever you do not play with your car, take it to a technician who knows how to work on Hybrid cars! And please try to explain your question a little more, no idea if your asking about your headlights or a problem with startup.if you explain it better some one might give you the best answer!

Hi,it sounds like you either have not been driving it enough to charge the accessory 12V lead acid battery (not the hybrid storage drive battery), or, as someone else mentioned, you need to have the 12V battery tested and possibly replaced. The 12 volt lead acid battery is the same type as in any other vehicle. It provides the juice to start up the gas engine, run the headlights, and other basic items.Lead acid batteries do fail eventually and some have defects from the point of manufacture, so your lead acid battery may just be one of those. That's why they come with warranties for a certain amount of time. The lead acid battery is not the nickel metal hydride battery that is used by the hybrid system to provide electrical boost or to move the Civic under electric power only. Depending on the year of your Civic, you have one of those two systems- electric boost only or electric boost and the ability to drive under limited electric power only (newer Civic Hybrids). If you're not driving at least every other day for at least 1/2 hour, you probably are not driving enough to keep the lead acid 12 volt battery charged. If you are, then take it in to your Honda dealership and have them check the lead acid 12 volt first.Good luck.
