No!Cars can be converted to run on vegetable oil but cannot be run that way with no mods. Most cars that are made to run on diesel can run on a very high percentage of biodiesel with no modification but gasoline engines cannot run on the heavier biofuels.A gasoline engine will accept and run well on a small percentage of ethanol enhanced fuel but needs modification to accept anything more than 15%Try http://www.caranddriver.com/article.asp?section_id=4&article_id=7818&page_numb er=1orhttp://www.biodiesel.org/

Would work much better in a diesel vehicle. You can add a cup or two per tank of gasoline, but why bother? It will smoke horribly and kill your catalytic converter.

You'd have to get the engine adjusted to use veggie oil or any type of bio-fuel. It's possible. A guy changed his car engine to use veggie oil. Instead of harmful pollution, water droplets came out of the tailpipe. Plus, he got PAID doing this because restaurants want a cheap way to dispose of their cooking oil. The only problem he faced was when he used oil that cooked fish...I saw it on the news.

NO!!! it has to be an engine designed for diesel. there are plenty of resources, the best I found is Joshua Tickell's "From the Fryer to the Fuel Tank also check out www.veggievan.org another site is www.greasecar.com and they sell conversion kits.I have used his book and converted a schoolbus to run on veg oil and it really works, but you have to start with a diesel engine and add a second HEATED fuelsystem to run on veg oil, or you can make your own bio diesel and run it in any diesel engine without modifications.

With a little modification only diesel engine can run on biodiesel.

Absolutely not. Diesel fuel is ignited by compression while gasoline fuel is ignited by spark. The space between the pistons and the top of the engine is much smaller on a diesel since it must compress the fuel to the point that it spontaneously combusts without any other source of combustion. A gasoline based engine also compresses the fuel but not as much as a diesel engine. A combination of the compressed fuel and a spark provided by a spark plug causes the fuel to explode and drive the piston downward. Putting diesel fuel in a gas engine will only gum up the engine causing it to stall but will not generally destroy it. Putting gasoline in a diesel engine will nearly always destroy it.
